It isn't technically a make believe thing. Google twin paradox, that's been proven and if you want to get technical that is time travel. But in any case, "anything goes" is more fun.
I'm sorry Pez....It sounds like you were really serious. I thought you were kidding, and just asking a kind of fantasy question on what we would do if....
As for actual time travel. I am a deeply religious person, so my point of view always stems from that point.
It's very hard to for me to explain on what I honestly think on the possibility, but here goes: I firmly believe that God created all things, and when we look at science we see the method he used. We call it physics or nature biology (whatever). People have been (teleported for lack of a better word) into the distance by Angels who have shown events that will be, and events past. So it would make logical sense to me that there is a way in physics and nature for the ability to be done, we just have not figured out how he does it yet...if we ever even get smart enough to discover such a thing before our days are over.
I also believe there are different planes of existence. We know heaven is not way up in the sky beyond the stars, That the Creator of all things does not reside on a distant planet, but rather it is a veil of something that seperates the levels that the book of Enoch spoke of. A spiritual world on many levels that exists among us unseen. Perhaps the ability to go from one point in existence to another could be found in that realm. Jesus was reported to be in one place on moment, and then appear in another, and to in a locked room without entering thru a door. He was not a spirit/vision because he had flesh and bones that could be touched.
