Pretty cool. I can't imagine how big the building is where they flip the shuttle around and lift it up to attach it to the fuel tank/boosters.

The VAB is absolutely mind bogglingly big. Everyone should try to tour Cape Canaveral - while they still can.

Yes you should. I did that a couple of years ago and also watched a shuttle lift off. Really cool!! I like the tank like thing they use to move the shuttle to the docking station. I forget what they call it but there was an episode of dirty jobs on it. The thing moves VERY slow and they have to constanly keep all the wheels and bearings greased up.

I'm watching the video at work and I'm pissed because every time it gets to the part where the shuttle gets lifted off the platform to be put onto the rockets, I get distracted. I've watched the video 4 times now and every freaking time it gets to that part, I get a text message I need to respond to or someone comes into my office or I get a phone call... Now I'm going to skip to that part and watch it 4 times just to make it all even.

I know, I know... I should have paused. When someone comes into my office and I'm playing something with music, I always pause it. But I guess this video slips into the black hole of my mind since there's no audio for a majority of it. The video isn't obstructing my ability to communicate with others so I don't think about it. Oh well.
