timer on lights????

how do i go about putting my lights on a timer??
i have 2 switches on my fixture.. 1 for the clear lights the other for blue llights... i have no idea how to put this on a timer.. my fish store guy said i can put them on a timer but i dont see how??? help

If you have two switches you should have two plugs..Just get two timers, set em and plug em in.
What else is there?

My6 lights are exactly the same.I didnt want to buy two timers so I found a Christmas light timer that had 6 outlets.Bought it at Home Depot
