Tiny Bubbles

We are in the process of setting up our tank, and it has been running for about a week and a half now. Today we got 90#s of LR and put it in the tank to cycle (no other living things in the tank yet). Since the addition of the LR the powerhead is putting out huge amounts of tiny bubbles, which it had not done before. Is this normal? This is a 75 gallon tank and the powerhead is an Aquaclear 802. I also have a 402 in there for now, but it is not putting out the bubbles the 802 is. The 802 is about 3 inches below the surface (the 402 is a little below half way down). Should I be concerned?
TIA

My skimmer does that occasionly some days its clear some days (like today and yesterday) it puts out tiny bubbles. I'm not really sure but my lr by the filters and skimmer outflow, have bubble on them, maybe its sucking up bubbles and pushing them out. It may sound dumb but thats my thought for you.

Just a thought jimc58
When you added the 90 lbs live rock, did you lower the water level in the tank down below the 802 to allow for the water displacement of the rock, or start removing water a little at a time when adding the rock ?
If by chance you lowered the water level below the powerhead, or removed it from the tank for a short period, you may have got some air trapped inside the 802.
Try turning it off - turn it upside down and shake it around some underwater in your tank - see if any large air bubbles come out.
Then position it back in normal orientation and power the sucker back up.
It may help - may not.
See ya,

Thanks for the replies. It is quite possible that the water level dropped below the outlet of the 802. I didn't really notice. It is getting much better now but I will try your suggestion, broomer5.
Thanks again to every one. It's exciting to finally have something alive in the tank. I could be mistaken, but I think I have seen two eels, an octopus and a shark egg so far :D
