tiny jellyfish?...

i was lookn at my tank today and found wat appeared to look like a very tiny jellyfish. first it was stuck on the glass and i counted tenticles. has a clear seethrough body.. then it came off the glass and started swimming around just like a jellyfish would..is it a jellyfish and how could i have gotten it.. i use real saltwater for water changes..did it come wit my rock or my water..and is harmfull to my fish or inverts...sorry no pics to small to capture in photo..

sounds like hydroids.
are there white , ball-like masses on your rocks?

nope no white ball like stuff on the rocks....i now hav spotted two one stuck to the glass and one swiming around the tank.too small to get a pic of..it looks cool but i dun know if i want it in my tank tho..
