tips for a beginner

Any advice on taking better pictures? I've got a 3.2 megapixel digital camera and a tripod, but no matter what they come out blurry. My biggest difficulty seems to be that if I turn off the lights and flash then the lens is open too long and the fish move (making them blurry in the picture).
Any hints?
Thanks,
Mike

Look in the instruction manual to determine your camera's macro settings.
See if you have a high-speed setting that takes several quick shots, this is what I have to use to get a decent shot. Also see if you can adjust lighting settings, ie- setting your camera for flourescent light.
You could try adjusting your ISO settings to a higher level as well.
Play around, post examples, and we'll see if we can help.
