tips to set up 110 tenecor simpl plus

was wondering if anyone could give me some info on setting up this sysytem that has a built in wet/dry filter in rear of tank.should i use ls/cc.what brand of salt mix is most popular?general set up tips:help: :help: using 2 hagen 802 pumps and pc lighting 220watts. for now can i use lr/ls.any cycling tips

-Live sand is the best, so go with that.
-Salt mix...everybody has preference, but Instant Ocean would be a good start..
-more lighting would be good..220 watts over a (2 feet high tank)? isnt too much....but you can always upgrade that later when you get corals..
If youre going to use live rock, you can have it cycle in your tank, whichll make it cycle the fastest.

I would set it in fresh water or hyposalinity to get out unwanted pest

But itll kill more good than bad..Where are you getting the live rock from?

hyposalinity shouldnt do so much harm...better to get the bad out now than waiting until its too late.
