Tissue Recession

I just bought this brain today and when placing it into the tank, i accidentally touched the tissue. When i looked at it in the lfs, there was no tissue recession, but now there is this. Do you think it will regrow, or will it get worse. BTW, i have this on the sand in a light to moderate current, should i change anything?

This is the whole thing. Plus in the pic above, just to clarify, its only the little white triangle part, not the whole bottom layer.

It does look a little bad but not all is lost. Try to feed it some krill a few times a week to help the tissue grow back.

This is kinda a dumb question, but how exactly do i feed it? I have never had to feed a coral before. Do i just put the frozen cube onto it, or do i thaw it in some salt like when i feed fish and squirt it with a turkey baster kind thing?

Wait till they extend there tentacles and then feed him by placing the mysis or krill on to him and it will close up over the food.HTH
