To add or not to add, that is the question (for me anyways)

Okay, I'm a lionfish lover (as lionfish may remember) and currently have a volitan and a common dwarf (zebra dwarf) living together. I now have the opportunity to have a fuzzy dwarf (shortfin dwarf) live with him. Does anyone have this combo? In the books I have and read it basically boils down to it may not work but that it may work. I'm not sure if I am trying to mix too many lions or if it would be fine. If I bought him then I'd have a Volitan, dwarf, and a shortfin in the same tank (sounds cool to me). Although my personal goal would be to get one of all the lionfish species in the same tank. Of course, that is if I upgraded to like a 220 gal some day or bigger. But wouldn't it be cool to have all the lions in harmony. Except I've had a couple of chances at fu-man chu's but don't care for the appearance too much. Let me know if you've tried this combo and it was a disaster or if it worked. Thanx in advance.
P.S. The tank is for lionfish only. I have no other fish in it.

75gal. I'm well aware of tank size and not to overstock. The dwarf lion is maybe 3" at most and the shortfin is about 2" and my volitan is about 8". I'm more concerned with compatability between the shortfin and the dwarf. I think the volitan gets along with anybody once they stand there ground and "know their role" along with when to move for him. Did that make any sense?

I dunno really about that shortfin and the volitan, there be some real bullying between them.I would get a bigger one just in case. Like 3-5 in. or so. good luck.

Well, it's a little late now. I just purchased him and am going to pick him up after I take this test in about 15minutes. I don't think the volitan will be as much of a concern because between the two of them they will know who the dominant one is. My concern is the dwarf and shortfin cuz they are close to the same size and the dwarf has been in there longer. He may feel as if he has something to prove. But then again, the book says the shortfin needs plenty of hiding spots (which I have) so that he can hide of if danger is around or something. So perhaps he'll just lay low. I don't know, I'll keep ya posted though. Later. Gotta get to class.

Skirk, Skirk, Skirk. You're still the stubborn fellow I can remember in your "more posting days". I see you can't be forced to change your mind. That could ruin a tank ya know. I am a very patient person when it comes to lions and I damn-well won't lose a lion because of being stubborn. You think it would be cool to have all lions in one tank? Me too. Well, that was until I did that. I have mentioned to some people that I have had 8 lions in the past. Well, I had my Black Volitan, Dwarf Lion, Antenatta, Radiata, Fu Manchu, and Red Volitan all together in a 250 gallon. This was a tank I set-up and helped mantain in an LFS awhile ago. Nice tank too. They all got along quite well. But in a 75 gallon? Man, I would only keep one lion in a 75 gallon. I think you better get your priorities straight and start thinking about the health of your lions instead of how quick you can get them in that tank. You had better get a bigger tank to sustain them all in good health and good company. There could be problems but it is not likely but there will be in the future. I seriously hope you get a bigger tank in the near future.

Ya. Dont listen to Lionfish. Hes only been promoted to Shark by the admins of this board for consistantly giving good, helpfull, FREE advice to any who may need it. I personally cant think of anyone else I would rather have in the agressive forum.

I have deleted the post that KappaDoku is refering to it was in my mind in poor taste and the one particular word I consider offensive. If you disagree fine but state your case without being offensive. Nuf said.

I would shut your mouth right now Kappa. You think you're so smart do ya? Me being promoted. I have dedicated a lot of time to this board. A lot more than you. I got my shark position because I am one of the few who stayed long enough and never abandoned this site or this forum. Listen to me and listen to me good. If it weren't for me, you wouldn't even have this forum anymore. Who do you think was doing everything he could to talk to Admin5 in the shark tank, huh? I am the reason we have this back. My hard work and my want to keep this board for you ungrateful jerk. You don't think I should be listened to, huh? Maybe you don't like listening to me but I know that a lot of people do and one person is the admin. I think I'll have a chat with him about you.
Have a nice day!
