The fan has a switch on the back right of the hood. Are the fans supposed to be on whenever the switch is on, or is there some kind of thermostat?

I have the jbj formosa it has 2 switches one for actinic and one for the 10k's . When you turn on the actinics the fan stays off. when you turn on the 10k's then the fan comes on...
