To change or not to change.........

Hey folks....
If my water parameters are all within normal limits, do I HAVE to do a water change? It makes me nervous to mess up a good thing by trying to empty out old water, make new water, put new water in the tank, make the tank all cloudy, etc., etc.,......you get my drift? Any thoughts?

you only change a percentage of it not all of it. if you do it right there wont be anycloudy ness or anything of that sort. and its the best way to keep your parameters in check. plus there are thousands of elements in the water that you dont have a test kit for (I gaurantee it) these get depleted in many ways and a regular waterchange ritual keeps these at the levels they should be.

Even if your parameters are fine, nitrates will build up if you don't keep them in check with regular water changes. Change 10 percent a week and add the new water to the tank slowly so as not to stir up a bunch of sand.
