Well, I give up!
I have been to many, many different markets and grocery stores looking for Nori and I can't find it anywhere! I have been to specialty stores and everything.........no Nori. It seems to be not on the menu for us Ohioans, or I am just an idiot.......believe me, the second scenario certainly wouldn't surprise me.
Since I can't find Nori right now............
Would it be any good to soak Romaine Lettuce in Zoe and Selcon? Wouldn't the fishies get what they need out of the vitamin enriched lettuce? I just don't know what to do since I can't find the other stuff anywhere.

To be totally honest......I didn't even think about trying. I have been so wrapped up in looking for Asian markets and specialty grocery stores that I didn't even stop to think that one of our suppliers might carry it. Duh. I will check at work and see what is up and then give you guys a yell if I need anything. Thanks a bunch.
Note to self: Call TerryB CarrotBoy in the Shark Tank from now on. :D

nori is an asian food specialty item (used to wrap and make some types of sushi). Every asain market I have ever gone into sells it. You can get 100 sheets 9" squares for about $10.
A lot of regular supermarkets do not stock it
Good Luck

didn't read your post about no luck in finding an asain market. Call a local Japanese resturant and find out who they buy from.

I haven't found a source here either Rye, so seeweed selects is always on the menu. Tangs just tear it up!

In NC some grocery stores have a special section for ethnic foods, in the Asian section there are generally two different types of nori. Some are very expensive and some much cheaper.

You think that Marvin Lewis knows about the 'winning' and 'sushi' connection? And I always thought it was the water. :D

Julian Sprung's Sea Veggies is basically Nori, but also contains other nutrients. Most of the Nori found in stores is roasted. The roasting process removes a lot of nutrients. Sea Veggies is packaged in the same sheets, and is dried, not roasted.
I use it for my tangs, and they LOVE it. Many LFS' carry this stuff.
