I think it's great you guys are expanding. But IMO, (and many others) it's a bit too much.
Here are some of my suggestions:
1: get rid of advances in the hobby, we discuss this stuff in all the other forums.
2:Fragging, aquaculture, and captive breeding should be combined. could just call it aquaculture.
3: since we have forums for each type of coral (which i love) the corals forum is obsolete.
4: Don't clams and most non-photo fall under inverts? there are only really a few non-photo corals and i think most of these will fall under LPS or one of the other coral forums.
5: Combine fish only and aggressive forums. FO & Aggressive
I think this would simplify things a bit.

i agree with number 3, when i first came on i was like WHOA! TONS of new sections!!! but it seems like a lot if you have all the sections for the corals just eliminate the actual corals section, although i have no idea how you would do this since u would have to move all those posts to the right places
i do like how they have seperate ones for each type of tank u have and each type of coral, and then a fish and invert one i think in the long run it will be much more organized and easier for people to get answers on their things, since the people that are experienced in those places will go to that section and try to help out
over all i am happy with all the new sections tho

if they eliminate the corals section then all those posts will be deleted, plus any active threads. probably not a good idea.
i like the changes, but i do think that there should be some kind of subtopic stsyem.
overall, though, i think its great that SWF is working to update the site, address issues, and become more of a presence on the board.

, but kind of confused by all the choices. For example, I've been going to do reef diary thread on my 65gal reef tank, but I'm still not sure where it should go. Some have them in new hobbiest, some in the reef forum, some are in fish photography, and now there is the new Share your Aquarium Forum. Some choices I love (i.e. the different corals and I actually like the new advances forum ~ think it is a great idea), but others only add to my already poor confused mind

I agree I can not find my diary ( not really a diary yet just getting started. )
I do like the new topics though makes it easierr to find what you want IMO but will take a bit to get used too.

If done properly nothing will be lost at all. It will simply be moved to the desired section.
I design, install and run a few forums. This one is isn't too bad with separate sections for everything. The main problems I see are..
1. The drastic change
2. Extreme confusion with 3 times as many catagories on the same page.
3. Overall disorganization.
Whomever is designing the forums, consider using sub-categories.
