To "tee" Or Not To " Tee"

Hooking up my mag pump, I have 2 return hoses comming from the back of my tank: at the point of which the

of the pump sticks up (vertical) should I put a tee there to join both hoses.
At the moment I can't see another way except 2 seperate pumps.
MY shut off valves(globe vales ) are at the elbows of the bulk head fittings.
90gal glass
100lbs sand
80lbs rock
2 802 power heads
2 filter socks
titantium heater

Can be done, however a "Y" may be more prefered. You might have to add valves on each side of the "Y" also to get an even distrubution on each side. The "Y" will be less back pressure on the pump than a sudden 90 degree turn like on a "T".
