Toadstool clossed up...possibly stung by hammer?

So this is day 3 that I got this frag. When I was temp acclimating it in the bag all the polyps were out. After I added it to the tank it was still open and flat (not all ruffled). After the first night it hasn't opened again. Do you think it is just in shock to the new tank or do you think my small hammer frag could have stung it? The first night it was right next to the hammer, then the next day I glued it to the rock it is currently on.

It's not uncommon for toadstools or leathers to stay closed when added to a new tank, I have had mine stay closed for a week.

Could be stressed and it might be shedding. My toadstool did not extend polyps for a month straight one time. Make sure that the flow is moderate to help during the shedding process. I also don't suggest moving it anymore. IMO that is the worst thing that you can do when adding new pieces.

Thanks for the responses. I haven't moved it in a while so I will just let it be and monitor it.
Other random bits of info...It went from a MH tank to my tank which has T5s. Took me 1.5hrs to bring it home.

They do that sometimes. Mine would not come out for a week. It finally showed it polyps the other day after a week of hiding.

The polyps retract on mine usually daily at random -- or if a shrimp decides to perch on him. Perfectly normal but much prettier when they're out :)
