Toadstool coral ?

I just got a toadstool coral from LFS a few days ago . it hasn't open in my tank . I see it shedding it skin . But i have notice the top part starting to look spikey . Also it kind of look white . I have it almost half way down my tank under P.C light . My water tested out fine at LFS . I will try to post sum pix later.

i would invest in a test kit including at least: pH, nitrates, nitrates, ammonia. what is you specific gravity? the lighting and placement should be fine. leathers do shed, but we probably need a pic to tell if it is good or bad.

i just bought a toadstool, my lfs told me that it is common that they will stay closed and get a light film over the top for a couple of days.. thats what they told me... the owner told me his stayed closed for a month after putting his into his personal tank... i say just give it some time.. they are hardy corals..

Yep, if i even brush my toadstool he stays closed for hrs, some time days.
