toadstool dying can I frag it and save it?

I think my toadstool is dying the stalk is starting to deteriorate up near the head. Can I cut the stalk below where it is deteriorating and save it or is it just done and I should get rid of it. I will try to post pics later if possible.

try to find a reason why ur leather is dying. if its water parameters related, fragging it wont really save it.
