What kind of flow does it have? I moved my toadstool around 3 times before it opened up. I now have it on the sandbed with a koralia nano powerhead pointing right at it about 12 inches away.

Maybe that is the problem I just got a bubble coral about a week and a half ago and it was getting to much flow from my power head so I moved the power head to the back of the tank the bubble and all my other corals are fine that has got to be the problem I will try to move it tonight and see what happens thanks.

I might be giving my toadstool to much flow but it is shedding right now. These leathers also become great holding spots for sand which they hate. I know this might seem obvious but try your best not to touch the toadstool. If it is attatched to a piece a rock only touch that. These guys hate being disturbed like most corals.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. My toadstool has closed for several days before. Just as long as you are not seeing any of the base look like it is rotting away you should be fine. You do need to make sure that it has good flow however so that it can get rid of the waxy membrane that builds up on it.
