Toadstool leather help

Hello all
I'm new to saltwater tanks and just added a few corals to my tank. I have a toadstool leather in about the middle of my tank - 44gallon - I had been running a coralife 50/50 96 watt light. I just added a metal halide 150 watt light and am only running it 2-3 hours a day right now. My toadstool looks like it has shriveled up some, and doesn't open anymore when the lights are on. Should I try and move it further down in the aquarium and away from the light or leave it and hope for the best.
