Toadstool splitting?

Two days ago I noticed my toadstool was not looking like itself, not budding. Then I noticed what I thought was a small tear. Today it looks like it might be splitting. Is this normal, will the entire stem split as well?

looks more like a protozoan infection to me. google brown jelly disease.

I looked it up, it does look similar. Should I cut off the dead part or will an iodine dip and brushing the dead material away solve it?

yes cut off the bad tissue and do a dip. is the toadstool getting enough flow?

yes, it is getting good flow. I just dipped him using Lugo's, thanks
