Toadstool ?

I got a toadstool from my LFS a couple of weeks ago. Its about 4 or 5 inches across. My question is should it be attacced to a piece of rock or can it be placed into the sand. Right now it is just in the sand and after reading a thread on how to frag a toadstool I'm not sure if this is correct. If it needs to be connected to a piece of rock how would I do it now that it is larger than an average frag. Thanks

Really up to you they dont need a rock if you wish to attach to a rock just use string or rubber band and attach to a rock it will attach in a week or so even if it leans on a rock it will attach.good luck

I've had problems with the rubber band method, but I use the toothpick method.
I do the following:
1. Find the piece of rock that you want to attach it to
2. Have a toothpick and two rubberbands
3. Take the toadstool and stick the toothpick through the base at the bottom, say 1/8 inch up. Just enough so it won't pull through.
4. Stick the Toadstool on the rock and use the two rubberband to keep the toothpick secured to the rock. The base of the toadstool should be touching the rock.
5. Drop back in tank.
That's it...a week or so later you have a toadstool on a rock...
