bless you.
I really expected a "Gesundheit!" from you. I am somewhat disappointed, but will accept the blessing anyway.

This was our home tournament and was the first time koshiki was offered. There were many people walking around with blood dripping off their fists and several gi with blood spatter on them. Brutal...just plain brutal. One fighter experienced a broken leg. Koshiki was only offered to adults, btw.
There was one disqualification in youth kumite due to drawing blood. (bloody nose) It was a clean strike, but the defender turned his head into the punch. Rules are rules and a disqualification was issued.

what weapon?
Bo staff. She has been training with a bo for about 6 months as an orange belt. She is the first student to do so. Green belt is a requirement for weapons training in her dojo, but an exception was made for her after her World Championship win last year.

Sweet, congratulations .
Thanks, man. She's pretty awesome.
Oh, and I was wrong. There were youth koshiki matches. I was scorekeeping in a different ring and missed them. My wife has pics. It wasn't anything like the adults, but I don't think Sierra is quite ready for it yet. Maybe in a couple years.
