Since your tank is drilled, where do you plan on putting your sump/fuge? The bottom of your stand doesn't look like it will support one.

Yeah, I'd agree that it's probably not the best spot, but I'm hoping that it's there just for picture taking.

The window being directly behind that spot might also cause some trouble with problem algae or cyano.

I don't think it's a window to the outside, either a mirror or an opening to another room I can't tell.

There is a large mirror behind it

I will be moving it farther to the left once I have more space.
Also I am planning on putting boards on the bottom.

Currently I have a dual 55wat hood and I am looking to get a small metal halide for the shimmer effect

Also have a question just picked up the new Metal stand,
all 4 corners touch the tank in the middle there is a gap.
fish store says they come bowed and once water goes into the tank it corrects itself.
Any feedback on this before I trust this bowed stand?

u dont want a bowed stand they are for a bow front tank. n e ways u said one metal halide pendant. for a tank like that u should really go with two.
i have never heard of it corrects its self??????? i would question them more.

Brandon sorry for the miss understanding!
The stand is 36x18 rectangle all 4 corners are supporting my tank but in the middle there is a gap between the stand and the tank. seems like the support beam going across is bowed down.
The metal halides will be only for a shimmering effect because I enjoy that look. I will not be keeping any corals that would need any specific light.

how much of a gap?
the weight of the water should straighten out the metal if the weight to the corners is distributed evenly. have you placed the tank in its spot and checked to see if its level?
i have hardwood floors, but i always put some water in (about an inch so i can measure depth at the corners) and shim the bottom of the stand where needed.

it is not in its final place as of yet, it is currently going to be on carpet and I plan to put pieces of wood under the legs so it does not damage the carpet. it has about 1/8th gap
