Thanks, it's 2 years old now.
Prizm Skimmer, Magnum 250 cannister, T5 lighting w/ moons. 3 inch sandbed and about 90lb of LR. Nothing tricky or hi-tech, for sure. Oh, 1 powerhead, don't know the gph, but it moves a lot of water.
I'm probably over done on the LR but I really like the look of it.
BTW, I wouldn't scare my fish even as a last resort. That's self-serving and just plain mean, in my opinion. Just give them time. I believe they likely know the anemone is there. I don't think they are automatically "immune" to the sting. The clowns return again and again to an anemone to keep their tolerance up. It is my belief that it takes bravery for the first leap in to begin hosting.

thanks for the info. i was suprised u only have one powerhead, do you rely on your simmer for gas exchange????I need some more lr, a have got a little in there at the moment i have just put in after changing my floor from shells to sand. And guess what i thnik i have stuffed up, now i have a spike in ammonia and trate.

i do a 10% water change every three days till your readings were bteer.. it worked for me..anddddddddddddddddddd throw that instand ocean out.. you need to addd chemiacal with that salt.. go with tropic marin,.. its a lil more money, but well worth it.. you hardly need an chemicals.. they are already in the tropic marine

The canister actually puts out quite a bit of water flow, also. I have two more powerheads stored, but don't use them. Skimmer, powerhead and canister are quite lively.
Your spike could likely be from changing to the sandbed. I agree with Phil, but I would be a bit braver and go 20% water changes til those ammonias and trates are where they belong.
I'm not sure what chemicals phil refers to adding with instant ocean...I use it and haven't had a problem that could be tied to it. Phil?
