tomato clown with brown spot on middle side

I have a new tomato clown that is in the quarantine tank. I see a small brownish area on his side. Could it be an organ that I can see? Is this normal for tomato's to have a brownish looking color on their side...it's on his right side in the middle of his body.

also...he's not eating much..or anything as far as i've seen...but he looks ok besides the brown area on him...aka..no ich or other parasites on him.

Is this spot on both sides? and are you positive that it isn't just his color maturing?
When I got my clown, he was totally red, in time the sides of his body turned a darker shade or red making it look brownish in color.
He is not happier than ever.

it could be just the color maturing...but he's not eating. also, it's just on one side.
