My tongue/slipper coral keeps blowing up like a balloon. Has anyone had any experience with this? I'm afraid it's going to burst!

Have you been feeding it? When I used to feed my fungia it would blow up like that.

I don't feed it, but the clowns always take it food. It's fine now, just blows up from time to time and I couldn't find any info on it.

i would say that if the coral is blowing up and trying to move, than you have a problem.

I did recently reaquascape and part of him was in the shade. I moved him so he is in full light again. I will keep an eye on him.

I realize I have a problem which is why I posted in the first place. I was saying I don't think the clown fish are the problem since they have been hosting in there without any event for a while. I am looking for other possibilities, which have been helpfully provided.

There are some areas that are turning black? Including some tips. I am at a loss as to what to do.

Do you have a frag tank that you could move it to? Just because the clowns have been hosting for a while doesn't mean that its not unhappy with the clowns now.
