Too early for UV sterilizer?

I have a 65 that is currently cycling. Is it too early for the UV sterilizer. I do not want to kill the good plant life in the tank?

What do you mean "plant life"?
A reef tank?
If yes, I recomend no UV. IMO, It kills the good with the bad. Unfortunately your corels need the good.
Fish only O.K. I would wait until the cycle is done. Let all the stuff die off by it's self.
