too hot for a toadstool..

yesterday i came home to an overheated tank because the heater had come off the side and was floating on the water...thus continually heating all day. The tank was 84-85 degrees. The toadstools falangae were totally unapparent. Today it still doesnt look good. Is it likely to recover okay?

what temp do you normally keep your tank at? 84 or 85 shouldnt hurt anything unless it was like a 10 degree swing from normal.
