Too hot? Too cold?

As far a reef temperature, what is the maximum temperature and what is the minimum temperature that should be maintained?

its more if the temp has change quickly. i have had my tank hit 86 and everything survived but they didnt look good.

Well I wouldnt let the temp get any lower than 76 degrees or any higher than 83 degrees. However, a steady 85 is MUCH better than a constant 77-83 every day.
