First im glad to be part of this community.
Secondly, I have a 1 mth old reef/saltwater tank that just has too many bubbles, i cant really get a good picture to convey the bubbles but trust me they are there...
i have an asm 1g skimmer with the pump that came with it and a rio 2100 connected to a return line in the sump, ill take a picture of that
here's some picts of my sump setup:

Someone mentioned this protein skimmer might be getting too much air thus causing all the bubbles in the sump? Something about some way to adjust the amount of air that enters the protein skimmer? you will notice i put a sponge around the rio 2100 area that might be causing bubbles also, ive already paid for one LFS visit and they ended up going hmm that's weird
perhaps the asm g1 is too big for this sump/tank? sure looks huge, i know they make a mini, should i be trying to exchange this for a mini?
also i know i need to get a valve on my return, its on order :) should be here this week :)
thanks in advance!

note: before the live rock was added the sump was at half way and the bubbles were still there, does anyone know about this supposed ability to adjust the air flow/intake on an asm g1 skimmer?

I don't have any answers, but I have the same problem. Tiny little microbubbles all the time, making the water look cloudy. Sometimes I see them coming from my skimmer, and if I adjust the air intake it will get beter for a little while. I also get bursts of little bubbles from my canister filter. I'm curious to read any advice on this also.
