too many plants?

That all depends. I have lots of Mangroves and they are prone to starving their neighbors. However, I continue to stay on top of their needs and no one has died and leaves are growing, roots are spreading, and stalks are rising.

Hm, too many plants is a tank is a good question, there can always be too many of anything. What do you have in your tank? Aquatic plants realy should not be in the display, they should be seperated from the fish. This is what a refugium is for.

Depends on the plants and your setup.
Plants absorb O2 at night, so a heavily planted, low circulating tank could potentially run into oxygen issues in the dark.

i hadn't thought of the O2 aspect. i had heard that they can deplete the tank of nutrients that the LR needs.
