Too much current

I just replaced my RIO 2100 (600GPH) return pump with a MAG 700. I decided to add the RIO to my tank for circulation. I do not have much rock in the tank but figured the more circulation the better. I already had 1 small pump plus a canister and over flow/sump return in the tank.
Inside the tank about 20lbs live rock a few mushrooms and an LTA.
Can this pump be too much in a 90?

sounds ok to me . we have three 250's in tank and a mag 9.5 as our return pump. we bounce ours off the glass on all sides includding behind the rocks to help keep out old foot and stuff.
we have a 75 reef with 100+ pounds of LR
