too much filtration

Thinking of starting a 5gal nano. I have an old 5 AGA hanging around and a filter rated up to 30 gallons, is there anything I should know about too powerful a filter on a tiny tank?? thanks/

imo, u can never hv too much filtration. u could hv too much flow though.

DSepending on the type of flter if it could be modified as a refugium/filter you couldn't go wrong. For any tabj, especially a pico/nano you should have a refugium. many filters can easily be accomidated to work as both refugium and particulate/chemical filter.
