well im starting my 55 gal...just got a little bit from someone on boston reefers....
only 15lbs he hooked me up tho for 10 bucks
no sand yet..just ordered it
my question is..is if i have too much flow
i have two koralia 3's
and im going to have a mag 9.5 return from my sump
so a total 2650 gph without head more like 2400ish
is that a lil too much
i have water in the tank and the koralia arent too powerful but i just ordered the mag pump soo i have no seen it in action yet
thanks in advance

IMO. THe mag 9.5 iis too big of a return for that tank. ant say for sure not sure whatthe size of your sump is. The powerheads will be ok if you are keeps only SPS but for anything else I would go with 2 #'s in your setup. Again just my 2 cents

If its a standard 55 with built in overflow, the overflow is rated for 600gph. There wont be enough headloss to make up for the difference between the return pump and the overflow rating unless you are pumping from the basement. The largest pump you can probably have is the Mag7 as that is what I and most people with 600 gph overflows use.
The flow shouldnt be too much, but its depends on how full your tank is and how you aim the PHs.
