too much light?

thats nearly 20 wpg.. thats a lot of VHO of light isnt it?? :yes:
here's the thing though, NO lighting isn't going to give you the rapid growth you're looking for (i have my doubt's that it will give you ANY growth). i would get the VHO without a doubt. however, you should experiment with bulb height from the water to give you the best growth results.. just my opinion... good luck!!
guys, which URI bulb do you think he should get - he's only getting 1 bulb, so *maybe* the aquasun?? i haven't seen it in person but it looks kinda pink... if he gets 1 super actinic the tank will be purple... a super white by itself won't make the zoos glow like he wants will it??

it is a lot of light
but you have to consider this, he said he was going to put the bulb about 8" from the top of the tank. now the tank is only 5" wide. this means even with a reflector and all - most of the light isn't going to be going into the water, most of it will miss the tank. does this sound right?
