Hi i am about to start purchasing fish for my 20g FO tank. It has already cycled.
i was wondering if adding 3 fish at the same time would be to much of a sudden bioload for my tank? the only reason im considering this is b/c the site that im ordering from says i have to have a 29.99 subtotal before checking out and i have a 29.98 subtotal!!
if it matters the fish i want are :
2 true percs
1 bluefin pygmy
thanks!

one at a time, especially with that size tank, id say add the single fish first, the blue fin pygmy, but, i say that tank is too small for that fish, but anyway, add one at a time. and once you add the pygmy, wait about a month or so, and you can add the two percs. you dont want to introduce them seperately, especially in a small tank. but I think I would look into maybe getting just one ocellaris, and look into like a firefish or something. the reason i say that is your bioload in that small of a tank may not be able to handle two fish at once...

okay thanks for ur help ... i think im gonna stick with the true percs ( i love those fish)
so ill just wait a long time b4 i add the next fish
just for future reference... what is the expected spike when adding a new fish?

I say order all three and put them in QT! You do put new fish in QT right? Then
you can slowly add them 1 at a time. Damn I'm smart.
QT though, no way around that

you can add both clowns at once. I'd love to know that site. I wanted to order fish from here, but I don't even want 79 dollars worth of fish, I sure as heck can't add that many fish at once. But three, three I could do.
hat is the expected spike when adding a new fish?
You shouldn't get one, or I never have when I've added one or two. Now sinner added 5 damsels at once but that's another story. Just keep an eye on the water. since it's new, you may want to limit feeding for a short bit.
since these are your first fish, add the two clowns to the main tank, and the other in the qt. wait a month. At that time you'll knew if all fish are good, then add the fish from the QT to the main tank.
