Too much rock

How much rock does everyone have for there reef tank....I have a 90g with about 200lbs of LR and it looks kind crowed. Do you think thats over kill?

I have about that much in my 180g and too me it looks just right. I personaly don't like a tank to have a "solid" rock look. I like it to have caves and ledges. I think it all depends on the kind of look you like.

I Have no idea. i just wanted to say that i have 145-150 pounds lr in my 80 gallon. I think thats perfect!

IMO.....there is never a such thing as too much, ROCK THAT IS!!.....And hey its your tank so if you want it crowded and you think it looks nice then go for it.....the more rock you have the better you tank will filter the water! But keep in mind the more you have the less water you have there by affecting the amount of fish you can have....but I sure you know that.....I am sure it looks great.....Happy Reefing!!......

I had 200lb in my custom 100 and loved it. I do however like caves and slopes in tanks. To me it gives a much more natural look.

Tanks are really personal preference. If you think you have too much or it looks crowded you could try rearranging it.
I don't much care for the crowded look either so we have rearranged our rock a couple of times...we are getting there. It really is the best filtration for your tank, the more you have the better. Finding the look you want to achieve just takes a little time. Good luck.

definitely, it is personal preference and i don't think there is anything such as too much, as long as you are happy about it and it looks nice to you

one more additional comment
rocks from different places will have different density. Some rocks are heavier then the others
200 lbls are heavier then 160 lbls but they may take the same volumn in your tank.
Like fshhup and others said, it's depend on your preference. And it also depending on what kind of fish do you want to keep in the tank.
