Started with 1 stalk of pulsing xenia a year ago, now it is like a plague. I am cutting it out weekly, it is taking over my tank. How can I get rid of this stuff. I started taking some to LFS but it is too much work. Tired of cutting it weekly. Any ideas guys.

Get a soft coral eating fish, no problem keeping it alive,Maybe a pair. Or try to kill them like aiptisa.
Good luck

dont get a utility fish. thats a bad idea. just pull it off the rock as much as possible, and squirt whatevers left with boiling water.

If you cut them they will grow back usually with more heads. You have to pull them off the rock so nothing is left behind. I have had to do it before and it was not too hard to do.

you can go to your local reef clubs website, and post that you have some for free, or very cheap. im sure you would have a nice stream of people coming to your house to pick some up.

Is that like the old wives tale, if you shave off unsightly hair it will just come in thicker next time....oh oh...or maybe the hairy palms thing

You may think it is a joke but it isn't...the stalk will grow little nubs and more flower heads. A tiny little snot spot will regrow into stalks.
NOTHING left behind is exactly what you have to be sure of.
