Tool to cut teeth in overflow

what drill bit should i use to cut teeth into acrylic for my overflow?

rotozip bits work well.

I just took a look at my overflow and it looks like it's about 1/4". If you have a Dremel, you could drill the hole at the bottom of the tooth and then cut the sides of the tooth with the Dremel using one of the large rouind disks. Lacking a Dremel, there are drill bits that are supposed to be able to be used as side cutters. Keep an eye on the drill bit-as it gets hot it will start melting the plastic and it can get kinda messy.

You really dont even need to cut in teeth.I built my coast to coast without and it works just fine.

+1. An overflow without teeth will skim better.

I have egg crate over mine to keep the snails out.It works good

Sweet. I just took a $20 plastic peice and just used a heat gun and bent it, then me and my dad use a grinder to cut the holes.
