#4 Sarah Silverman I dont know if she counts? but that show is pretty bad!

Back around 1993-94, saw John Stewart (Of The Daily Show fame) at the Improv in San Diego. I hurt for three days afterwards from laughing so hard.
Interestingly, his persona back then was much different than suit-n-tie image of The Daily Show anchor ... blue-jeans and leather jacket, looked like he hadn't shaved in three-four days, chain-smoked through his entire act.

Best; Rodney Dangerfield, Sam Kinison, Louie Anderson, George Carlin (really brilliant guy), Jonathan Winters (Bipolar and one of the funniest guys ever, IMO).

Steven Wright... hands down the funniest...
Jim Gaffigan... guy is hilarious...
Howie Mandell... the guy was hilarious back in his days of getting loaded...
George Carlin... he can spin words like none other...
too many to list in the 5 spot... Murphy, Pryor, Cosby, Ron Shock, Seinfeld the list could go on and on...
as far as worst... sarah silverman is pretty bad... but judy tenuta is the hands down worst ever!!!

I heard that guy off of - I think it was full house, and he also did some cheesy home video TV show - had a really funny standup routine.

I find him quite funny. It isn't his jokes, it is watching him play the "perfect" father for years then watching him tell dirty jokes and curse! It is sooo funny. When I watch Comming to America, I think the same thing about Eddie Murphy! Andrew Dice Clay was my other fave that I could't think of before.
