I've had trouble stabalizing ph, my tank is six months old and without buffers I cant get my ph higher than 7.9-8.0. My question is if I remove the tops of my tank at night to get a better oxygen exchange will my ph raise, and if it does raise will it only be temporary?
P.S. I'm looking for macro's, I bought some (grape) of ---- in Dec. and none of it survived. I think shock from shipping, when i took it out it was very frail and fell apart in my hand. Does anyone have ideas on a hearty species and where to get it.
