Torch or frogspawn

Is frogspawn hardier than a Torch? I'm finding that alot people aren't having much success with a torch. Would a long-tentacle plate be a good option?
What affect would mushrooms and polyps have on these and other hard corals? Any? (If you're running a good skimmer)

never had a torch b4, but my frogspawn is growing nicely. it likes to send out stinging tenticles every night toward my shrooms. i'd say its fairly easy to keep a frogspawn if ur water paramters r good with barely any nitrate.

I have had a torch in my 33G for about 6 months. I have had no trouble but like nycbob said the brown stinging tenticles are out alot and they need their space. I keep mine at the top of my rock work so it would have trouble reaching anything. I like the look of the torch better because the tenticles extend longer and it looks really good with a wave maker.

I like the look of the torch too, definately what I'm leaning towards.

I wouldn't want any harm done to mushrooms etc.. Such mixed info on keeping LPS with soft corals.

The thing about any of the Euphyllia sp. coral is that the cannot move their tentacles. They go where the flow takes them. So if you can scape your tank with that in mind and you have enough room to do so you can place them so their tentacles will not come in contact with other coral.

I just picked up Torch Coral Friday night and the LFS salesman said they may take up to a week to come out.... Man they were out the next day loving it!! They really love some good flow and light

I've had a torch, and currently have a honeywall and I would say they are about the same, as are most euphyllias just be careful where you place them. I would avoid the Long Tentacle Plate as they do not have good survival rates

I have a hammer and frogspawn. I also like the torch, but I think I'm set with stinging corals for now lol. Personally, I'd go for the frogspawn.
