Totally Baffled Help Squidd (or anybody)

As you can see, I have configured the baffles in my new fuge in the over-under-over arrangement which I see typically used by those who post on this DB. It has come to my attention via this board that the correct flow arrangement should be under-over-under, or just under-over.
I'm considering ripping out the baffles and replacing those on the left (skimmer) side with just an under-over configuration which would also gain me a couple more inches in my fuge, also the baffles I've already placed leak (which doesn't bother me too much). One more thing, I've got a couple Berlin socks and holders, do I even really need the freaking baffles?

Actually, I like "Over/Under" *see pic...

and maybe a third, but much lower than the first...
The first set of baffles hold the water at a consistant level for consistant skimmer opperation...
Otherwise the sump level willl fluctuate with evaporation and the top off which affects skimmer pressure and need of adjustment...
