I was admiring some gold stripe clowns the other day at the LFS and wish I had gone with one of those instead of my perc clown. how large do the gold stripes get? my perc seems so small yet I have had him like a year and a half.

wow really??? :scared: Ive never seen one that big. the larges perc I have seen is like 3 inches and mine is about 2 inches. Is the gold stripe a decendant from the maroon?

Is it true that the gold stripe maroon clowns start off with the white stripe till they are older and then the gold stripe appears?
Just something I read.
I think that the goldstripe maroon clown is the most stunning looking clown there is. I have a tomato and love my clown but if I could I would love to have a goldstrip maroon instead.

Had a business trip a month ago which led me through SFO and in the Delta terminal they have three display tanks: African Cichlids, Fresh Water Angels, and a Coral Reef--which has one of the biggest white striped maroon clowns I have seen. This thing was huge....if given the chance, check it out.....even if the lighting needs to be upgraded.
