transfering tanks

O.K so I'm fixing to start my 125 up. I have had the sump running for a couple of days now through the protien skimmer alowing for the water to run straight back into the wet dry. There is no water in the tank yet, the returns are caped off and I have added cycle to the wet dry to try to speed up the cyle in the crushed coral and bio balls in the sump. I have been told that I can transfer my water, live rock, canister wet dry and all coral life to the new tank along with fresh water and should not have many promblems worrying about cycling the new tank. I am putting live sand along with 80gal of new water. Does this sound true? I would also like some thought on UV sanitizer on a reef tank? By the way its a 55gal tank that has a canister wet dry that I was told to transfer and alow to run for a month to help with the biological cycle.

That setup sounds pretty good. I run a UV and I love it. I have never had a disease outbreak while running it. As long as you have an established wet/dry and LR, I don't think you will have much of a cycle if any at all by adding in the new live sand.
