I got to take my son to the prescreening of this film yesterday on his birthday. He is 4 now and all he has been talking about was seeing this movie. This is one of the best movies I have ever seen in my life. Ranks up there with Lord of the Rings and Star Wars. If you see one movie this summer, make sure you see this one.....

I will admit the plot is well a transformer cartoon style plot, but the effect, action, and even the comic relief make it well worth it. I will definitely be owning this DVD so I can watch it on my big screen at home and be able to see what I missed. Unfortunately we had to sit real close to screen and I missed some of the action bits because their was so much going on in those sequences. I think I will go see it again later...so I can sit further back.
It also helps when the crowd is clapping and hooting and hollering to get you sucked in.

well, the first trailer looked very good. but the subsequent trailers have not. it's high on action and thin on plot? that's kind of what I was worried about. but I"m taking some time off next week so I might go see it anyway. I also want to see 1408 though.

I was not going to go see this movie... I know alot of people that are pumped up about this movie. I believe Im just outside the age of people that want to see this. People I work with that are in there mid to late 20s and people in there 30s are the target audience I believe. Im 41 so I do remember transformers...I just never played with them...now GI Joes are another story.... I also have a 5 year old boy and wonder how your 4 year old knows about Transformers???? My boy watches TV and doesnt really know about them.

I've got a 9 year old nephew. Transformers, GI Joe, and He-Man made somewhat of a comeback about 4-5 years ago. granted, they're not as popular as they were in the 80s, but my nephew had a ton of the newer toys. so they're banking that they're going to get the guys that played with them in the 80s who now have children of their own, plus the big summer box office thing. this movie will probably do pretty well. if it's 'thin on story', I don't know how good it will be. though I never played with Transformers, I was more into GI Joe and Star Wars.
