Transporting Live Rock?

I am going to Costa Rica in about a month and will be doing some snorkling....
If I were to find some live rock that I liked would it be worth it to try and transport it back to the states? I'm not sure what kind of work goes into something like that, if anyone else does please share your knowledge.

I'd first look into what laws would possibly put you in jail (or a large fine) for something like that.
If there are no laws against it, I'd suggest trying to package it and ship it to your home address instead of carrying it with you. I ordered LR from an online retailer. The wrapped the rock in wet newspaper, put that inside a plastic back, then put the bag inside a styrofoam (sp?) cooler. Finally, the styrofoam cooler was put inside a cardboard box.

I agree, but if it is ruble rock, and you are not breaking it off of a bigger pieces of LR, thats exactly what this site and other get it
