I recently got a True Percula Clown and added him to my tank.
First day was fine, he was eating and everything fine. Then slowly he quit eating as much, and now he wont eat at all. He just sitting in the back breathing heavy and has a white thread like material comming out of his anus. I was told to do a FW dip, but I dont see how this could help an INTERNAL parasite.
Can someone please shed some light on this for me, thanks.

BTW, I fed him brine the first day and then the next got some mysis shrimp.

There is a gel based food that is supposed to take care of internal parasites. Check out ***************.com. I think it is made by blue lagoon. I have never used it, but it is supposed to be good stuff. You are right a FW dip will not help and will onlt stress the fish more. Try it and let me know.

Thanks mcsarpena, Ill look into that. Only trouble is(I already know) I dont have a QT and I should. So I am assuming this gel based food is something you need to feed him and only him. He probably wouldnt get much of it in the tank with the rest of the fish. I dont really have the means right now to setup a QT either. Hmmm... what a delima.
