Treating with copper...HELP!

I’m losing my mind.
About a week ago, my lion had an eye that clouded over, so I set up a quarantine tank and a dip tank. The quarantine tank has a major ammonia spike going on and it appears to be cycling, so that’s probably lost.
Today, I noticed that his eyes are really cloudy, he has labored breathing, and my clowns have white and black dots on their heads (I haven’t added anything in over a month). My LFS told me to treat with copper. So I spent the couple bucks on CU and read the label after I got it home. It said that I needed to transfer all of my invertebrates to another tank.
Here start my questions…
1.ALL MY INVERTEBRATES??? So I have to chase down each hermit crab, coax my starfish out of their hiding places, wrestle with each snail, pry my feather dusters up, move my colt coral and buttons all to a new tank? Won’t this cause a major ammonia spike and kill everything? If I wait and move each thing individually, the Lion and clowns will probably cack anyway won’t they?
2.I was reading on this board that copper kills LR. So what’s the point of treating with CU if it kills everything? By the time I re-cycle my water and reseed my rock, everything will be dead. I have too much livestock to fit for any length of time into a quarantine tank.
3.I made a freshwater & copper dip for the clowns and Lion, but this apparently won’t work. Right?
I’m not trying to be nasty, but I’m losing my tenuous hold on sanity. Please help.

try using hyposalinity. i had ick myself and lower the specific gravity to 1.009. i've had it there for about 2 weeks and only about 1 and a half left. hyposalinity is better than copper. copper will kill live rock because i used it before i found out about hyposalinity. just go to a search engine and look for articles about Terry B, who you may want to ask more information.

about the above post, only treat your quartine tank with hyposalinity, otherwise you will kill everything. hypo is for FO tanks.
