Sammy... would you really want to have a living based on these animals? I know some of your troubles, and if my livelihood was based on their survival, I would certainly think twice before I spend money on anything.

If one had the schooling and desire to help others learn then it would be a great gig to have. Most people I have read about or seen on TV that are into animals and their needs are very dedicated and therefore I think a very honorable way to make a living.

Trey is one of the most honerable people I have never met. :) But sometimes I am standing in my LFS and the owner will pull out his new arrivals, and there will be a dead clown trigger, copperband butterfly. $30.00 here, $50.00 there etc.
Do you remember the story he told about the how he ran his fish store. Fish were well treated and his guarantee was for a month. Then some a-Hole threw his new arrivals in a crowded tank, charged a few dollars less and ran him out of business. He has saved me now hundreds of dollars with his advice (and Trey if you are reading this.... If you are ever in NYC let me know and I'll treat you to a dinner worth it). I'd still make out better as I would continue to pick your brain for hours. You have helped numerous people on this forum better enjoy this hobby which is great, expensive and potentially painful. Thanks to you, I can now handle hippos, Queens, and yes... my Emperor is arriving this week. Just knowing you are there if we have a problem is tremendous.
As a profession, it is not one I would neccessarily want for my kids (perhaps not medicine either). :) Scuba diving would be great. :) I still think a wheather man (or woman) is the best profession. Work only a couple of hours a day, good pay, every body sees you, etc.
